VALLEY, AL -- Mrs. Vera Terry McCain, 86, of Valley died Tuesday, 18 Oct 2011 at Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital in Phenix City, AL.
Funeral services are planned for 4 p.m. Wednesday, 19 Oct 2011 at Langdale United Methodist Church in Valley, AL with Rev James Haskins officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Huguley, AL.
Mrs. McCain is survived by her daughter, Rosalind Fuller of the Lake Harding community; grandchildren, Rodney (Elizabeth) Fuller Jr. of Birmingham, AL, Dawn (James) Majors of Lake Harding, Laura (Chris) Whitley of LaGrange, GA, Jennifer (Matt) Hendricks of Seale, AL and Tiffany (Kyle) Kennedy of Prattville, AL; great-grandchildren, Kalee Whitney, Colton Whitley, Grant Whitley, Landon Whitley, Elsie Fuller, Daniel Fuller and Logan Hendricks; and one sister, Frances Crawford of Valley, AL.
Born 18 Mar 1925 in Langdale, AL, Mrs. McCain was a retired employee of West Point Stevens with more than 40 years of service to the company. Mrs. McCain was a lifelong member of Langdale United Methodist Church and was a member of the Ominis Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell E. McCain; four sisters and two brothers.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to Langdale United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, 19 Oct 2011 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley, AL.
