Muriel Donaldson Smith was born June 12th 1914 to Ada and Gladis Donaldson in Boswell, Oklahoma. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 25th, 2018.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Loyd E Smith and her only son Dale LeFlore Smith. Muriel and Loyd moved to California from Big Springs, Texas in 1932. The couple then re-located to Weaverville, CA where Dale was born. The family moved to Red Bluff in 1941. Muriel loved to learn and expand her knowledge. In 1956, she attended Shasta College and transferred to Chico State where she graduated in 1960 with a BA in Education with an emphasis in Special Education. Muriel was an active member in her community, including TOPS and the Presbyterian Church. Upon the death of her husband Loyd, Muriel combined efforts with her son Dale to continue the operations of the family business Smith Marine Sales Inc. Muriel often spoke of one of her greatest accomplishments being her 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is survived by her grandchildren, Linda and Scott Hill, Ben and Marsha Smith and Charlotte and John Crandall.
