Amanda Neyenesch Wilkes, daughter of Herman and Anna Marie Neyenesch was born at Pella, Iowa, December 13, 1863 and passed away at her home in Knoxville December 18, 1958.
On September 25, 1888 she was united in marriage to David W. Wilkes of Omaha, Nebraska, who is left to mourn her death. To this union six children were born. One daughter, Edna, passed away at the age of three years. The remaining five children are: Carrie Grant, Herman, David J., Myron G. and wilhelmina Wilkes, all of Knoxville.
