William E. Davis 89, Clark, died Friday. Funeral be held Monday at 230pm at the Haugland Funeral Chapel, Clark. The Rev. Robert Seater will officiate and burial will be made in Rose Hill Cemetery, Clark. William E. Davis was born November 24, 1872 at Cherry Valley, Illinois, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George William Davis, He was married to Maggie Johnson June 27, 1900 at Rockford, Illinois. Davis had been a resident of Clark since 1910. He was a farmer and retired in 1955 moved into Clark. He is survived by his widow, Maggie; three daughters, Mrs. Daisy Cook, Mrs. Gus Seefeldt, and Mrs. Carrol Shirk, all of Clark; two brothers, Tom, Rockford, Illinois; Charles, Great Falls, Montana; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and four brothers. The body will remain at funeral home until the time of service. Published: The Daily Plainsman; Huron, South Dakota.
