Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Dixie, returned to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on September 22, 2001 due to complications associated with cancer.

Mom was born November 19, 1939 in Provo, Utah to Everett Burrows and Louise (Meyer) Richmond.

She graduated from Provo High School in 1958, where she was a member of the debate team, played the violin, and was a member of the National Honor Society.

She married her sweetheart, Wallace Ted Eyre Stewart, on June 2, 1958 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mom and dad made their home in Draper, where they raised their family.

Mom was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a strong testimony and served in many capacities.

Mom was an avid reader, enjoyed crafts, family picnics, playing Scrabble and Uno, making Sunday dinner for her kids and grandkids, and loved her collection of Santa Clauses.

We will always miss mom's gentle nature, her keen sense of humor, her healing touch, and her soothing voice. Mom, we love you and look forward to seeing you again.

She is preceded in death by her son, Benjamin Theodore; her mother and father, Louise and Everett; her brother, Joseph; and her sister, Myra. She is survived by her loving husband, Wally; seven children, Mark (Cindy) Stewart, Kevin Stewart, Julie (Mitch) Hirschi, Susan (James) Driver, Tina (Mike) McCafferty, Charity (Blake) Clark, and Rebecca Stewart; ten grandchildren; sister, June (Robert) Bates; brother, Jess (Darlene) Richmond; brother, Richard (Joanne) Richmond; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2001 at 12:00 p.m. in the Draper Fourth Ward Chapel, 13540 South Stokes Avenue (400 East), Draper. Friends may call on Wednesday, September 26, 2001 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Lake Hills Mortuary, 10055 South State Street (100 East), Sandy and one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday.
