Jo Cecil Cook, 66, of Lexington, beloved wife of 47 years to Wayne Cook, died Sunday, August 31, 2014, at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Lasserre and Mary Adair Bradley and was a member of the Lexington Primitive Baptist Church.

Jo was loving, compassionate, fun and gregarious. Her quick wit and sense of humor always kept others laughing and smiling. She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends and Christmas shopping for everyone she knew. She was generous and caring, providing encouragement and gifts to those in need. Jo also loved God and maintained her hope in Christ to the end.

Besides her husband, survivors include two sons, Adam Wayne (Kayla) Cook, Lexington and Eric Wallace (Elizabeth) Cook, Aledo, TX; two daughters, Tara Elaine Cook, Lexington and Emily Allison Walden, Louisville, KY; three brothers, Lasserre (Emily) Bradley, Jr., Cincinnati, OH, David Alan (Norine) Bradley, Versailles and Dennis (Diana) Bradley, Lexington; three sisters, Linda (Jack) Lord, Dudley, GA, Judy Bradley (James) Mahan, Lexington and Lois Bradley Akins, Augusta, GA; grandchildren, Shelby, Haydon, Olivia, Grant, Cole, William, Lincoln, Jacob, Isaac, Elijah and Avery.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Dale Thomas and a grandchild, T. J. Walden.

Funeral services will be 10 AM Friday at Milward – Man O' War with burial to follow in the Lexington Cemetery.
