Bits of family information researched by submitter - - giving names of grandparents of D.B. Nipper, etc:

Hattie Pearl Meeks was a daughter of Noah Meeks and Clarinda "aka Betty" McCauley Meeks, daughter of Alex McCauley. Noah and Clarinda had two daughters, Hattie Pearl and Katie. Noah died and Clarinda married J. Busby. Clarinda married Samuel B. Lowery. Clarinda lived in 1930 with L. Monroe and Hattie Pearl. Clarinda is buried in Reids Cemetery, Glencoe.

Hattie Pearl Meeks married Lafayette Monroe Nipper who had previously been married to Sophronia "Froney" Griffith - marriage in 1890 and Sophronia died in 1894. Sophronia had two children.

Hattie Pearl Meeks married L.M. Nipper in 1900 in Etowah Co., AL.

Katie, Hattie Pearl's sister, (and daughter of Noah and Clarinda Meeks) has a tombstone Katie Griffin at McCauley's Chapel Cemetery. She died 1917. Katie married Asa B. Griffin, then married Forney Blackman, then Katie married Ephriam Taylor Meeks who is buried in Tillison Cemetery. Apparently, Katies's Griffin children placed her grave marker inscribed Katie Griffin in McCauley's Chapel Cemetery - although the obituary states she was buried in Burger Cemetery which was later called Burger-Tillison Cemetery and now just Tillison Cemetery.

D.B. Nipper's siblings per census records:
Otis Wesley, Lurinda, Walter, Clarence, Rose, Kate, Mary Emma and John Nipper. (Rosa's death record and her obituary in The Gadsden Times shows she married Barron, but grave marker inscribed Nipper.)
