BAKER – Ashley M., 21, Northern Cambria, passed away Sept. 2, 2014, at home. Born Sept. 15, 1992, in Altoona, daughter of Mark N. and Janine M. (Heverly) Baker of Northern Cambria. Preceded in death by maternal grandfather, John Heverly. In addition to her parents, she is survived by brother, Derek J. Baker, Northern Cambria; maternal grandparents, Paula (Vrana) and William Barnett, Loysburg; paternal grandparents, Kenneth D. and Phyllis (Stein) Baker, Cherry Tree; aunts and uncle, Karin (Mike) Vasil, Northern Cambria; Deanna (Ryan) Robertson, Richland; Brian (Denise Harkleroad) Baker, Cherry Tree; Michelle Baker, Hastings; Nicole Smith, Hopewell; and Trisha (Chad) Mickle, Woodbury; numerous cousins; and many friends. A 2010 graduate of Northern Cambria High School, and a 2014 graduate of West Virginia University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in speech pathology and a minor in disability studies. Ashley enjoyed spending time with her boyfriend, Tyler, and his family on their West Virginia farm. She enjoyed the outdoors and sports and was an outstanding softball player and pitcher. She cherished time spent with her family and was proud to have earned her college degree. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Moriconi Funeral Home Inc., Northern Cambria, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Pastor Paul Demi, officiating. Committal, Holy Cross Cemetery.
