Mrs. Loretta Catherine Gilbert, 99, of Frederick, died on Monday, September 1, 2014, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. Twice married she was the wife of the late David E. Drackley, Sr., who died in 1963 and the late James E. "Humpty" Gilbert, Jr., who died in 1977.

Born in Woolstock, Iowa on September 25, 1914, she was a daughter of the late W.W. and Susan Nilles Frakes.

Mrs. Gilbert was retired from the Fredericktown Bank and Trust company. She was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Francis Scott Key American Post # 11 Auxiliary, VFW auxiliary and NARFE.

Surviving her is a granddaughter, Jennifer S. Drackley, of Swayer, Michigan, daughter-in-law, Jeanne Zimmerman, of Cherry, IL,

sister-in-law, Mary M. Shelor, of Chesapeake, VA, nephew, Thomas S. Shelor and a cousin, Woody Hoffman, of Frederick. She was preceded in death by a son, David E. Drackley, Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2014, at 2:00 p.m., at Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 118 East Second Street, Frederick, Interment will follow in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
