CLOVER -- Lewis Jackson Alexander, age 81, of 5373 Hwy. 557, died October 20, 2004 at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, SC.

Graveside service is 11 AM Saturday, October 23, 2004 at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery, officiated by Reverend Rick Lindsay. The family will receive friends Friday night from 7 to 9 at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home.

Mr. Alexander was born January 25, 1923 in York County, SC, a son of the late Robert Leslie Alexander and Bessie Mae Kiser Alexander. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a charter member of the Bethel Volunteer Fire Department, and a member of Scherer Memorial Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Harper Alexander, of Clover, SC; daughters, Kay A. Westmoreland of Lake Wylie, SC and Lynn A. Pursley of Clover, SC; sons, Paul L. Alexander, Keith J. Alexander, both of Clover, SC, L. Nelson Alexander of York, SC and Mark E. Alexander of Oahu, HI; and 11 grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Scherer Memorial Presbyterian Church, 4800 Charlotte Hwy, Lake Wylie, SC 29710, the Bethel Volunteer Fire Department, 5600 Hwy. 557, Clover, SC 29710, and the River Hills Rescue Squad, 4 Heritage Drive, Lake Wylie, SC 29710.
