James H. Agee was born near Fulton MO., in Callaway County, Dec. 17, 1835. He was married to Isabelle Reynolds, Nov. 16, 1969. To this union were born twelve children, four of whom preceded their father in death. They are Mrs. L.F. Sullens, Mrs. Mary Whittle, Nellie and George Agee. Those living are T.J. Agee, Etterville, Mo.; Mrs. E.E. Norfleet, Eugene, MO.; Warren and Frank Agee, Windsor, Mo.; R.L. and Mrs. Irene Gigson, both of Los Angeles, Calif., and Edison Agee of Powell Butte, Oregon.

Mr. Agee united with the Christian Church many years ago, and continued faithful to the end. He served as an Elder in the old Spring Garden Church. When the church at Etterville was organized some 20 years ago, he became one of the charter members and was selected one of the Elders.

He died at the home of his son, Warren, near Windsor, Mo., Aug. 26, 1925.

Funeral services were held in the home by Elder W.H. Scott, after which the body was laid to rest by the side of his wife in Spring Garden Cemetery.
