Nellie Mae Duncan was born on November 8, 1941, in Maysville, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Saturday, August 30, 2014, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 72.

Nellie, the daughter of Leon and Vera (Brown) Stone, was a resident of Shawnee. Nellie married Lloyd Duncan on May 7, 1981 in Gainesville, Texas. Nellie enjoyed many things but she really enjoyed doing crochet and embroidery, really anything with arts and crafts, she didn’t mind gossiping now and then, and she was a terrific cook.

Her parents, husband, 3 sons, one brother, Waymon Stone and one sister, Bernice Green preceded Nellie in death.

Nellie is survived by; one daughter, Kim Ledbetter of Shawnee; one step-son,
Danny Duncan of Oklahoma City; two step-daughters, Charlene Thompson of Tulsa and Marlene Pendley of Choctaw; eight granchildren, Shanika Ledbetter, Gary Ledbetter, Felicity Ledbetter, Casey Duncan, Debra Thompson, Brock Pendley, Cheron Pendley, and Baron Pendley; seven great grandchildren; three sisters, Wilma Ledbetter of Meeker, Gladys Upchurch of Meeker, and Margaret Simpson of Oklahoma City; and other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014, at 1:00 PM at Living Waters Tabernacle in Meeker with Sister Donna Morton officiating. A private burial will commence following the service.
