Mr. Franklin was the proprietor of NaMa's Cafe on Buffalo Rd. before he retired. He was a member of Second Baptist Church. He loved gospel music and sang with several local groups.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Hardaway Franklin of Erie; two sons; two daughters; seven brothers; four sisters; his stepmother, Fannie Franklin, Bronx, N.Y.; two stepsisters; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins, his church family, Masonic family and friends.
Interment in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
