Amanda Beaver Souter, 79 of Taylor, Arkansas passed away on Monday, September 1, 2014 at her daughter’s home in Magnolia.
She was born on May 22, 1935 in Rosston, Arkansas to the late Ellis Ray Beaver and Lydia Alice Schooley Beaver. She was an avid Arkansas Razorback Fan, a member of the United Methodist Church in Taylor, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son Eddie Souter; great granddaughter Jayden Souter; two sisters, Reba Glover and Nelda Jo Allen; and her step mother Mabel Beaver.
Amanda is survived by her husband, Donald Souter of Taylor; son Richard and Rose Souter of Grantville, Kansas; daughter Renda and James Garrett of Magnolia; daughter in law Mary Souter of Taylor; grandchildren, Kristen Stewart, Jason Souter, Daniel Souter, Steven Souter, Robert Souter, Alan Garrett, Laura Campbell, David Souter, and Michael Souter, great grandchildren, Katilyn Souter, Patrick Souter, Trinity Souter, Caleb Souter, Parker Souter Abigail Souter, Kadence Curry, Tinsley Souter, Brooklyn Stewart, Heyden Stewart, Ava Stewart, and Jessie Campbell; and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 10:00 am at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Spencer Plumley, Rev. Richard Souter, and Duane Beaver officiating. Burial will follow at Harmony Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Amanda’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers
