MONROE-Mrs. Jess Metcalf, 65, Monroe, died Sunday in St. Clare Hospital. She was the sister of Mrs. Martha Sharpe, a resident at Caravilla. The former Gertrude M. Miller was born near Juda, daughter of Ferdinand August and Louisa Hartwick Miller, and married in Chicago in 1912 to Samuel Cecil who died in 1947. She married Jess Metcalf in 1951. Also surviving are her husband; a son, Donald Cecil, and four grandchildren, all of Monroe. Services were held this afternoon in Monroe with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
