AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Willie E. Bates, Sr. entered into rest on Tuesday, August 26, 2014. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. from Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 1260 Wrightsboro Rd., Augusta, Georgia with Rev. Dr. Clyde Hill, Sr., pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Walker Memorial Park. *The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, September 2, 2014 from 6pm to 8pm. Mr. Bates was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. and Mrs. Josie Bates; three brothers, James Bates, MacArthur Bates, and Kenneth Bates.
