Deceased Name: Bertha E. "Birdie" Fulkerson

SEDALIA - Bertha E. "Birdie" Fulkerson, 99, Sedalia, Mo., died Feb. 22, 1992, at a nursing home in Sedalia. She was born in Freeburg, Ill., and lived in Sweet Springs and Marshall in Missouri before moving to Sedalia in 1983. Mrs. Fulkerson was a receptionist for Dr. R. C. Haynes of Marshall for 26 years, retiring in 1969.
She was a member of the Broadway Presbyterian Church in Sedalia.
She was a charter member of the Sweet Springs chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Her husband of 23 years, Clyde E. Fulkerson, died in 1943. Survivors include two sons, Clyde M. Fulkerson, Kailua, Hawaii, and Robert L. Fulkerson, Ajo, Ariz.; a daughter, Elizabeth Hausam, Sedalia; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m Wednesday at the Berg Chapel, Sweet Springs; burial in Fairview Cemetery, Sweet Springs. Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesd ay at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the church.
