CIVIL WAR MARKER Charles H. Tower worked as a tinsmith in Pittsfield,MA. He moved to Richmond,VA. in 1851.Then moved back to Pittsfield,MA.In 1859 he returned to Richmond,VA and joined the Confederate Army. Served with Co A,46th VIRGINIA INFANTRY.Wounded at Battle of Hatcher's Run in March,1865.After the war,he returned to Holyoke,MA.Died at age of 89.Buried near Tower are Pvt. Myron Conner and Lt. Frederick Judd of Co D,34th MASSACHUSETTS INFANTRY.
