Thomas Ross Ingalls

Tom loved movies, and was fascinated by the art of making films at an early age. By the time he was in high-school he'd produced a Super-8 shark epic, The Cove, his homage to Jaws. This led to a 16 mm film project, The Magic Carousel which, though never completed, honed his skills as a film maker.

Tom successfully pursued a career in cinematography and lighting, establishing Tri Productions, initially to produce films, and later as a rental service for his grip truck and lighting package.

Tom was a vibrant, energetic young man with a great sense of humor. These qualities, combined with a fierce determination to succeed, served him well as he dealt with many challenges, everything from treacherous business associates to serious health issues.

He continued to work when symptoms of AIDS set-in, never succumbing to self-pity as myriad illnesses overtook his life.

His 30th birthday fell a month after his death, when family and friends gathered to celebrate his short, vivid life and say a final good-bye to the freckled kid with burgundy hair.
