He was a retired plaster and dry wall finisher; a member of Liberty Hose Company No. 2, Lykens; Gratz V.F.W. Post No. 2385 and enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Hand Leitzel; a daughter,Carol and a son, Larry.
Surviving are seven children, Elwood, Donald and James Leitzel, Doreen Snyder, all of Wiconisco, Gary Leitzel of Berrysburg, David Leitzel of Orwin, and Craig Leitzel of Valley View; two brothers, John Wiggins of Arizona, and Rickey Wiggins of Tennessee; 18 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Fairview Cemetery, Muir.
John R. Shultz Funeral Home, Lykens, is in charge of arrangements.
