Samuel M. J. Hampton, 77, of Las Vegas passed away Thursday, August 21, 2014. He was born July 24, 1937 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
He enjoyed play his xylophone, drums, recording and playing with bands in Las Vegas, reading his Bible, bike riding and traveling.
Samuel was preceded in death by his parents, Daisy Beatrice Hampton and William Kite Hampton, Sr.; sister, Norma Grace Johnson; and brother, John T. Hampton.
He is survived by his brother, William Kite Hampton, Sr. of Oak Hills, California; sister, Wilmetta Rose Eckford of Beaumont, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 9:00a.m. to 11:00a.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 West San Luis Street, Salinas, California 93901.
