She was predeceased by her parents, Bernard J. Boyle and Maude M. Boyle; her brothers, Joseph Gene Boyle and John Boyle; and her niece Laura Muenter.
Eileen died on August 30, 2014, having lived a life filled with faith and marked by extraordinary generosity towards others. She was a truly elegant woman and will be greatly missed by all. After graduating from Creighton University, Eileen began a career at Northewestern Bell, where she worked for close to 30 years. During her career and after her retirement, she traveled frequently to destinations both domestic and abroad. When the time came, she provided loving care and support for her parents in their later years. Because Eileen's father was the Democrat National Committeeman from Nebraska during the late 1950s and early 1960s, she was able to meet many of the Democrat luminaries of that time, including then-candidate for president, John F. Kennedy. Most important for Eileen, however, were her deep faith and her commitment to her parish, Christ the King. She and her parents were founding members of the parish. She was a devoted member of the Church choir for many years, and she also participated faithfully in the Perpetual Adoration Program.
She is survived by her nephew, John J. Boyle (Judy) of St. Helena, CA; her great-niece, Julia M. Boyle of Los Angeles, CA; and her much cherished canine friend, Bubba. She had many relatives in Wisconsin, and was especially close to her cousin there, Shirley Reiter. A very special gratitude goes to her devoted friend and primary caregiver, Brenda Langenberg. Throughout her life, and especially in her later years, Eileen's many loving friends in Omaha provided her with immeasurable warmth and light. They will never be forgotten by her family.
SERVICES on Wednesday at 10am at Christ the King Catholic Church. VISITATION on Tuesday starts at 5pm, with WAKE SERVICE at 7pm, all at Christ the King Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to: Christ the King Church, Omaha, NE; or to Emergency Pregnancy Services (EPS) in Omaha.
