James F. Blackwell, 84, of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014, in a local hospital.
He was retired from the United States Air Force. He was of the Protestant faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Gussie Rymer Blackwell; wife, Natalie Blackwell; and two brothers: Sam Blackwell and Troy Blackwell.
Survivors include his sister, Carolyn Garrett and husband, Luke, of Cleveland; special friend, Jean Anderson of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014, at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. The service will conclude with full military honors.
His family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at Fike Funeral Home.
