Funeral services were held Monday April 4th at the Varnder Ploeg Chapel in Sheldon, Iowa, for Mrs. Emma Stutzman, 83 years of age. Rev. John W. Irwin, pastor of the Boyden United Presbyterian Church, of which Mrs. Stutzman was a member for 57 years, and a charter member of the Ladies Aid Society since 1903, conducted the service. Burial was in the Boyden cemetery.

Mrs. Stutzman was born October 19, 1876 at Hampton, Illinois. She had made her home in Boyden most of her life, till a few years ago when she moved to the Verdoorn Nursing Home in Ashton, Iowa, where she passed away April 1st, following a stroke.

Survivors include a son, Lloyd Stutzman of Boyden, a sister Mrs. Lena Connor of Sanborn and a brother, Andrew Belling of Sheldon; beside a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, in 1929, and a daughter Beulah.
