Christopher Jason Freeman was born on September 7, 1973, in Pawnee, Oklahoma.
He went to be with our Lord and Savior on August 28, 2014. He was 40 years old.
Chris graduated Pawnee High School and received his B.A. in athletic training from East Central University. Chris was employed by the Greenville, Texas, school system for 17 years as the athletic trainer for all of the Greenville High School sports programs.
He returned to Oklahoma City to continue his education, working toward a degree in physical therapy.
He was employed by Hobby Lobby at the time of his death.
Chris was a devout Christian and a very active member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in OKC.
He is survived by his mother, Judy Ramsay and her husband Richard, of Guthrie; his father, James O. Freeman and his wife Joyce, of Pawnee; his sister, Bree Leggett and her husband Gary, of Yukon; one niece, Macy Leggett; two nephews, Chance and Gavin Leggett; and many other family members.
A memorial service for Chris will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, 2717 W. Hefner Rd., OKC. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Chris' memory to the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.
