Jim Reed, age 70, and a 55 year resident of Dallas, TX, passed away on April 14, 2013. He was born August 16, 1942 in Goosecreek, TX, to William Monroe Reed & Juanita (Fryar) Reed. Jim was employed as an Electrical Engineer at Raytheon (Texas Instruments) for over 40 years before retiring. During retirement he enjoyed traveling with his wife, Sherri, in their motor home. Jim loved his family and his dogs, and was a member of Casa View Christian Church. He is survived by his loving wife: Sherri Dale (Fisher) Reed of Dallas, TX; children: Michel Reed & wife Debora of Forney, TX, John Reed of Dallas, TX and Mary Aaron & husband Jimmy of Plano, TX; granddaughters: Kristin Grayson & husband Brandon and Thai Reed; sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law: Laura & Richard Delamytr and Cyndi & Phil Miesner, all of Rockwall, TX. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; and sister: Nelda Ruth Hair. A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm, Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Casa View Christian Church, 2230 Barnes Bridge, Dallas, TX 75228 with Rev. Les Massey officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Operation Kindness.
