He loved sports and played football. Nathan joined the United States Army on July 9th, 1964 and he received an Honorable Discharge. Nathan Hawkins Jr., leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Elizabeth; one daughter, Sharnita (Ricardo); two stepchildren: Felicia Rush and Kent Haywood; five grandchildren: Ricardo Jr., Carlos, Ricka, Alyssa and LaShayra Bulter; three sisters: Lovie Whitfield, Ophelia (John) and Willie Mae (Warren); one brother, Reginald (Karen); and a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
