Athens - Martha Veal Jones Stephens , age 96, of Athens, formerly of Lithonia, died December 28, 2008. She is survived by daughter & son-in-law, Eleanor & Dan Howington of Watkinsville; sons and daughters-in-law, Bill & Betty Jones, Clyde & Eloise Jones, all of Lithonia; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.

A funeral service will be held 4 p.m., Tuesday, December 30 in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Chapel Cemetery.
