Marcia received her education in the Pella schools and graduated from Pella High School.
Marcia was united in marriage with Henry J. Cade on January 19, 1950, at the First Reformed Church in Pella. After their wedding reception they left for Washington, D.C. where they lived for four months while Junior serve his country with the U.S. Air Force. Upon receiving his honorable discharge, the couple moved back to Pella. They lived briefly with Marcia's parents where Junior helped on the farm. They later moved to Pella and three daughters were born into the family: Cathy, Candace, and Carma.
Marcia was employed at the Overall Factory, as a housekeeper, and then at Pella Rolscreen Company where she was known as "The Boss" for twenty-seven years, retiring in 1990. Later she returned to housekeeping with Bernice Sneller.
In 1963 the family moved to a farm south of Pella which was previously owned by Marcia's parents. They purchased three acres and enjoyed country living.
Marcia had fond memories of the monthly Cade/Sneller roller skating parties in Newton and later at the Pella rink. She enjoyed yard work, dining out, coffee time with friends, wintering in Arizona, travelling, family camping (first in a tent, then moving to a camper). Marcia's daughters remember their younger years of horseback riding, camping, and out-of-state family vacations. After her husband's passing in 2006, Marcia enjoyed sitting outside watching the sheep in the pasture.
Marcia was a member of the First Reformed Church in Pella and was currently attending the Pella Federated Fellowship Church. She was also a member of the Pella Tulip City Saddle Club.
She is survived by her three daughters; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her lifelong friend, Bernice Sneller; her sister-in-law and her husband, Irene and Dean Van Osdol of Burlington, Iowa; one brother-in-law: Hughey Byers of Mississippi; many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Those preceding her in death: her parents; her step-mother, Marie G. Bezemer Klein; mother-in-law, Grace Cade; her husband, Junior in 2006; sister-in-law, Betty Byers; and brother-in-law, Wayne Lee Cade.
Marcia will be missed by her family and many friends who will continue to cherish the memories she created in her lifetime.
