Mrs. Anna Buerger, for many years a resident of this city, died at Milwaukee on Friday from the results of a stroke, which she suffered some time ago. She had been ill for about three weeks before her death.

The deceased was born on Aug. 25, 1857, in town Herman, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Bernard. In November, 1878, she was united in marriage to Anton Buerger, who preceded her in death in 1912.

Surviving the deceased are three sisters, Ellen Ries, Knowles; Margaret Koch, Milwaukee; Rose Martens, Akron, Ohio, and two brothers, Nick Bernard of Milwaukee, and Anton Bernard of Chicago.

After the death of her husband, Mrs. Buerger sold her home here and moved to Milwaukee, where she has resided since. She made frequent visits to this city to call on friends and relatives, and the news of her death was a shock to many of her acquaintances.

Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Catholic church on Monday morning at 9:30 o'clock. Burial took place in the old parish cemetery. The Rev. Fr. R. A. Kramer officiated at the services.
