Marilyn L. Hoke, born April 6, 1929 to Ormond and Lois (Bishop) Peets, passed away August 28, 2014 at the age of 85. Marilyn was an accomplished artist. The joy of her life was spending time with her family. She loved to sing and was a longtime member of her church choir. For many years she enjoyed volunteering her time at the church.
Mrs. Hoke was preceded in death by her sons, Randy and Gary Hoke. Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband of 66 years, Ernest Hoke; daughters, Teri (Manu) Roache and Darla (Doug) Conley; daughter-in-law, Lenaye Hoke; grandchildren, Randi (Jason) Kennedy, Kyle Hoke, and Austin (Brianna) Conley; great-grandchild, Kaitlyn Kennedy; and cousin, Allyn (Carol) Faith.
Her funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3, at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 549 E. Mt. Hope Ave, Lansing, MI 48910. Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Avenue in Lansing, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church in memory of Marilyn. The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Lansing Chapel.
