Lorene McKenzie, age 86 of Carrollton, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2014. She was born August 28, 1928 in Carroll County to the late Mr. Hope and Mrs. Ida Mae Sullivan. She was a homemaker and Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin McKenzie; three brothers, Ezra Sullivan, Tom Watson Sullivan and Julius Sullivan; and two sisters, Annie Barrentine and Vernelle Whitaker. Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Larry and Sue McKenzie; grandson, Joseph McKenzie; and sister, Catherine Bagwell all of Carrollton. Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, September 02, 2014 at 2:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Tony Sullivan officiating. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Garden.
