Paul M. Sheaffer, 100, of Camp Hill, PA died Sunday, April 9, 2017. Paul was the son of the late Elmer G, and Grace M. Sheaffer. He was a veteran of WWII, serving with the 10th Mountain Division in Italy. He started a career as a clerk/carrier at the Camp Hill Post Office in 1942 where he later retired as a Postmaster in 1972. In addition to his parents, Paul is predeceased by his Wife Audrey L. (Shreiner) Sheaffer, and a brother, Kenneth M. Sheaffer.
He is survived by his Daughter Nancy F. and husband W. Reed Ernst, of Camp Hill. Paul made and displayed a replica of the Peace Church at the Cumberland County Historical Society in Carlisle, PA. He also built a boat to use on the Susquehanna river. Paul was a member of the Peace Church, Calvary United Methodist Church in Lemoyne, The Camp Hill Lions Club, The National Association of Retired Federal Employees, The national Association of Letter Carriers, and a past commander of Post 8172 VFW.
