Mrs. Carr was born in Shiloh Valley Township on June 23, 1869, a daughter of the late Joseph and Lena Worms, nee Christ. Her husband, Jasper Carr, a coal miner whom she married in Birkner Station, died on April 16, 1919.

Funeral at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, from Pete Gaerdner Funeral Home to St. Henry's Church where Father F. X. Janssen, O. M. L. pastor, will officiate at 9 a.m. Interment in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
