Mrs. Mary Carr, 80-year-old widow of 201 South 59th Street, died of a lingering illness at 8:10 o'clock this morning at the home of her son, Clifford J. Carr with whom she resided. She had been seriously ill the past nine months.

Mrs. Carr was born in Shiloh Valley Township on June 23, 1869, a daughter of the late Joseph and Lena Worms, nee Christ. Her husband, Jasper Carr, a coal miner whom she married in Birkner Station, died on April 16, 1919.

Surviving besides her son and a daughter:

A son, a daughter and three brothers and a sister preceded her in death.

Funeral at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, from Pete Gaerdner Funeral Home to St. Henry's Church where Father F. X. Janssen, O. M. L. pastor, will officiate at 9 a.m. Interment in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
