Kyle P. "Tippy" Riley died peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, August 26, 2014. A memorial gathering will be held Sunday, September 7, 2014 at Jordan United Methodist Church. A private burial of ashes with military honors will be held at a later date in Pine Hill Cemetery. Tippy was born in Des Moines on September 22, 1950 to Sue(Dougherty) and John(Jack) Riley. Tippy served in the US Army from 1970-1972 stationed in Germany. Tippy worked in maintenance for various companies around Des Moines, the last one being, In The Bag. Tippy is survived by his only son Shon Riley(Brittany), grandchildren; Travis, Tristen, Kevin and Mac, his brother John Riley Jr.(Phyllis M.) 2 nephews and 3 nieces. Tippy was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Kathy Scott. Tippy, as he was known by all, loved his son, grandchildren, motorcycles and his dogs
