DALLASTOWN Mary M. (McLane) Ahrens, 87, died Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at Manor Care Health Services in Dallastown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Ahrens, to whom she was married to for 64 years. There will be a visitation from 6 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, followed by a Prayer Vigil at 7 p.m. A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2014, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 251 E. Main St. in Dallastown. Burial will be in Dallastown Union Cemetery following the service. Mrs. Ahrens was born in Red Lion on September 2, 1926, the daughter of the late David W. and Genevia A. (Heindel) McLane. Mrs. Ahrens was a life-long member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dallastown and worked for many years as a secretary for Guy Hobbs, Inc. in Red Lion. She was a 1944 graduate of York Catholic High School. Mrs. Ahrens leaves a son, Edward Ahrens and his wife, Carole of Glenville; two grandchildren, Allison Kleinfelter and her husband, Brad of Mt. Gretna, and Emily McSparin and her husband, Joshua of Allentown; and a great-grandson, Benjamin W. Kleinfelter. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 251 E.
