Services for Mr. Terry Lee Dickerson, 84, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014, at Bartley Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.

Mr. Dickerson passed away Sept. 12, 2014, in Grand Saline. He was born Feb. 2, 1930, in Edgewood to John "Dock" and Mildred Niemyer Dickerson. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He lived all of his life in Grand Saline where he was a member of Sand Flat Baptist Church. He retired from Morton Salt Co. after 37 years of service. He was a sweet potato farmer and also hauled hay and built barns, fences and corrals all over Van Zandt, Wood and Smith Counties. Mr. Dickerson was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patsy Deaton Dickerson; daughter, Vickie Dickerson; and sister, Jo Ann Allen.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Terry Lynn and Shelly Dickerson, of Grand Saline and David Wayne and Stephanie Dickerson, of Dallas; daughter and son-in-law, Laura Ann and Ron Snider, of State College, Pennsylvania; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Doris Dickerson, of Grand Saline and Freddy and Francis Dickerson, of Pruitt; sister, Sandra Lou Earnhart, of Kaufman; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Terry Smith, Gary Smith, Jeff Shugart, John Dickerson, Jesse Dickerson, Todd Dickerson, Caleb Snider and Luke Snider.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
