Jul. 18, 1950 - Aug. 23, 2014 James Mark McEvoy (Jim), 64, born in Monroeville, Alabama and resident of Mobile, passed away on August 23, 2014 at his home. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving in the Vietnam War. He was proceeded in death by his parents, William and Margaret McEvoy,his brother Mickey McEvoy, and his nephew James McEvoy. He is survived by his daughter Missy (Allen) Marshall; his grandchildren Henry, Michael, and Annie Marshall; his brothers Bill (Louise) McEvoy Camden, AL, and Joe McEvoy Mobile, AL; his sister and caretaker Jennifer McEvoy Mobile, AL; and his nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Government Street Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 2nd, at 10:00 am. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am. Internment will follow at the Alabama State Veterans Cemetery at Spanish Fort. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Marine Corps League or St. Mary's Children's Home.
