CONWAY - Mrs. Ellen Martin Marsh, 83, widow of Herbert H. Marsh, died Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Morningside Assisted Living in Raleigh, NC after an extended illness.
Mrs. Marsh was born August 12, 1931 in Marion County, a daughter of the late James Walter and Mattie Brown Martin. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Conway. Mrs. Marsh was an avid golfer, bridge player, power walker and loved to travel.
Surviving Mrs. Marsh are three children, Patricia "Trish" (Bob) Almasy of Ellicott City, MD, Don (Pam) Marsh of Fuquay Varina, NC and Ron (Dawn) Marsh of Raleigh, NC; a sister, Catherine Lawrimore of Conway; and 2 grandsons.
Mrs. Marsh was predeceased by six sisters, Martha Harrelson, Suzannah Harrelson, Pauline Wright, Eloise Carter, Etha Belle Crawford Hiner and Doretha Brown.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon, January 25 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Red Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
