ALFRED G. McELROY
A private service for Alfred G. McElroy of Novato will be held Sunday. Mr. McElroy, 71, died Feb. 9 at Kaiser Hospital in San Rafael after a short illness.
He was born in Connecticut.
Mr. McElroy, who lived in Novato for 35 years, was a retired maintenance man.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in both the Army and the Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Ella McElroy of Novato; two sons, Alfred McElroy of Auburn and Michael McElroy of Novato; four daughters, Linda Gaede of Half Moon Bay, Kathi Jones of Sacramento, Diana Greathouse of Pacifica and Patricia Heyden of Corona; two sisters, Minnie Sandmo of Everett, Wash., and Gertrude Weld of Laguna Niguel; and nine grandchildren.
The family prefers memorial gifts to the Novato Human Needs Center.
