MRS. A. M. REID

Julia Ann Miles was born in New York State, March 19, 1846, and departed this life at Lucas, Ia., on April 26, 1926, aged 80 years, 1 month and 7 days.

She was married in New York to Clark B. Lester on Sept. 18, 1872. To this union one child was born, Mrs. Estella A. Bennett, of Atlanta, Georgia, who was present at her mother's bedside when death came. Mr. Lester preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 1897.

On March 15, 1904, she was married to A. M. Reid, of Lucas, Ia., who died July 30, 1916.

Early in life she made her peace with God and united with the Presbyterian church, of which she remained an active member throughout her life, being a member of the Presbyterian church at Lucas at the time of her death.

She was a good woman, loved by all who knew her, and her friends were numbered by her acquaintances.

Funeral services were conducted at the Presbyterian church in Lucas on April 27, by Rev. O. S. Hesseltine, of Lucas, after which the remains were laid to rest in the beautiful cemetery at Chariton, Iowa.
