Obituary: Miller County Autogram-Sentinel, October 1990

Priest Allen, 91, died Oct. 29, 1990 at his home in Kansas City, Kan. He was born in Eldon to Charley and Stella Allen. In 1941 he moved to the Kansas City area. Mr. Allen was a meat cutter at the Cudahy Packing Company for 10 years and also was a custodian for the Shawnee Mission School District before he retired. He was a Baptist.

Surviving him are a daughter, Neita Hickman of Kansas City, Kan.; two brothers, Rev. Logan Allen and Raymond Allen, both of Eldon; a sister Esmal Baird of Merriam, Kan.; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a six great-great-grandchildren. A son, Gail Allen, preceded him in death about nine weeks ago.

Funeral services were held Oct. 31 at the Maple Hill Chapel and burial was in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Kansas City, Kansas.
