Matthew Scott “Matt” Schroeder

Moscow, Idaho

Formerly of Bay City, Michigan

Matt passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas following a long courageous battle with cancer, with his family by his side. Age 25 years. He was born February 21, 1989 in Bay City, Michigan. Matt worked at Walmart in Pullman, Washington and when he became ill, the Walmart Corporation was very supportive to him and his family during his illness. He enjoyed playing Magic The Gathering Game at Stadium store with his friends.

Left behind cherishing his memory is his parents; Scott and Nanette Schroeder, his brother; Joshua Schroeder, his fiancée Joyanna Wilson, his grandmothers; Marie Schroeder (former owner of the Serendipity Restaurant) and Velma Sutter, several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends and coworkers. Matt was preceded in death by his grandfathers; Earl “Lefty” Sutter and Harold Schroeder.

Funeral Services will take place Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Dwight Kingsbury with interment in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will be present at the funeral home on Tuesday to receive family and friends from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
