Former Ruston Mayor Succumbs
RUSTON (Special) --- Funeral services for W. S. (Shep) Moore, 81, former mayor of Ruston, were scheduled to be held at 5 p.m. today in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home.
Mr. Moore died last night after a long illness. He was ex-school board member, retired merchant and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Cecil (sic) M. McKinley of Ruston, Mrs. Edgar P. Thomas of New Orleans and Mrs. Robert N. Jameson of Alexandria; a brother, Charles C. Moore of Washington, D.C.; two sisters, Miss Claribel Moore of Washington, D.C.; Mrs. John W. Harrell of New Orleans and two grandchildren.

'Shep' Moore Rites Held Thurs. P. M.
Funeral Services for W. S. "Shep" Moore, aged 81, were held from the Kilpatrick chapel Thurs. p.m. at 5 o'clock. Burial followed in Greenwood Cemetery. The Rev. A. H. Johnson, pastor of the Emmanuel Baptist Church will officiate, assisted by the Rev. J. N. Cathcart, rector of the Episcopal Church.
Mr. Moore had been sick for several years and died in the Ruston Hospital Wednesday evening. He had suffered a fall about a week ago.
He was a former mayor of Ruston and active in civic affairs for many years. He was a pioneer cl- (sic) and working for the railroads and laying the first paved streets in the city. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club.
Survivors include his three daughters: Mrs. Cecile Moore McKinley, Ruston, Mrs. Edgar P. Thomas, New Orleans and Mrs. Robert N. Jameson, Alexandria.
He has one brother, Charles C. Moore and a sister, Miss Claribel (sic) Moore, Washington, D. C. and another sister, Mrs. John W. Harrell, New Orleans.
