Chalmer M. Adams Sr., 70, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006, at a local hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 4, 2006, at Second Baptist Church. The wake will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 3, 2006, at the church.
Chalmer was a band director at Rusk, Alto, and El Campo school districts and retired from Waco Independent School District after 26 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army as an SP4.
Survivors include his wife, Carole Laverne (Gossett) Adams; sons, Chalmer, Jr. and his wife, Kara, and Corey Lamont Adams and his wife, Marie; and granddaughters, Crispin and Kalya.
