Merrel E. Albertson, 78, of Eldon died Saturday, Oct. 9, 1993 at the Miller County Nursing Home at Tuscumbia.
He was born Oct. 8, 1915 in Eldon to Levi and Julia Robinett Albertson. On Feb. 13, 1937
he was married in Tuscumbia to Pauline Hunt, who survives at the home.
Mr. Albertson lived in Wapato, Wash., for several years where he managed an apple orchard. He was employed with the Miller County Highway Department and International Shoe Company in Eldon until it closed. He was employed as a carpenter until his retirement.
He was a member of the Church of God in Wapato, Wash., and attended the Barnett Assembly of God Church. He was the Washington state horseshoe champion for two years.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Albertson is survived by three daughters, Helen Ruth Pryor of Salem, Wanda Hawk of Eldon and Sharon Resa of the state of Minnesota; four sisters, Anna Ahart of Eldon, Laura Smith of Kimberling City, Alice Ahart of Maryland Heights and Bernice Ash of Patterson; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home with Fred Perkins and the Rev. Buena Huffman officiating. Burial was in the Tuscumbia Cemetery.
