Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 4E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, on Friday (August 29) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday (August 30) at 1:30 p.m. at St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls, with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls.

Joyce was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on May 3, 1943, the daughter of William J. & Marlette Metzner Bonard. She had resided in Seneca Falls for most of her life. She had served the Town of Seneca Falls as town judge for two terms and prior to that, court clerk for 28 years. She was instrumental in organizing the town's first drug court. She was a member of the New York State Magistrate's Court Clerk's Association and was a past president. She was a member of New State Magistrate's Association, the Red Jacket Fire Department Auxiliary, Member & past president of the Garden Club, & member and driver for North Seneca Ambulance Corps. She served as a dispatcher for the Park Police out of the Trumansburg station and was a former member of the Seneca Falls Kiwanis Club. She was a past recipient of the "Woman of the Year" and was past director of St. Patrick's Church Choir. Joyce will be remembered by those who learned to swim when she served as swimming instructor for the Seneca County Chapter of the American Red Cross and the Seneca County Youth Bureau. She also was a past instructor for the Office of Court Administration. Bonnie was honored as the recipient of the New York State Magistrate's Court Clerk's Association "Court Clerk of the Year."
She is survived by: her husband, John "Jack" Mahoney of Seneca Falls, whom she married on August 11, 1965; her mother, Marlette Morehouse of Cayuga, N.Y.; one daughter, Patricia "Annie" (Jim Woodard) Mahoney of Seneca Falls, N.Y.; four sisters Marlene Dooley of Texas, Kay (Michael) Harvey of California, Linda (Larry) Adams of Jamestown, N.Y., Janet (Dennis) Camp of Cayuga, N.Y.; several nieces, nephews, grand nieces, & grand nephews.
Joyce was predeceased by her father, William J. Bonard.
