Hannah (Henderson) Lucia. She completed
her primary grades in Cherokee and
moved to Storm Lake, where she graduated
from Storm Lake High School.
On Nov. 4, 1941, she was married to
Robert P. Morgan at St. Mary's Catholic
Church in Storm Lake. They lived in
Early, where they owned a mercantile
store for nine years. They moved to Remsen
and Fonda before returning to Storm
Lake. Following the death of her husband
in November 1998, Gwen moved to Silvercrest
at Fountain View in Omaha, Nebraska.
Gwen was employed at Lucia's Shoe
Store, owned by her brother, and she later
worked at Buena Vista College in the
business department. She was a member
of Catholic Daughters, Legion of Mary
and St. Mary's Guild. Her hobbies included
loving and helping her family and
friends, growing flowers and cooking.
She is survived by her two daughters
and their husbands, Jeanne and Doug
Gibbins of Omaha and Gwen and Jerry
Johnson of Muscatine. Also surviving her
are six grandchildren and four great grandchildren:
