oshua “Josh” Frank Roberts, 17, of Chatsworth, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014.

Josh was born on August 27, 1997. He was a student at Murray County High School who loved to hunt, fish, and hang out with his buddies. He liked hanging out with his sister, Amy Morgan, and playing video games. He also enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephew. He enjoyed spending time and goofing off with his sister, Tabetha Stone, when she called home and visited. His nickname to some was Joshie and Jarhead. He will forever be loved and missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hugh Milton Hale and Eva Lucille Hale; great-grandparents, Columbus & Edna Allen and Newt & Ollie Hale; and cousin, Freddie Allen, Jr.

Survivors include his parents, Jesse Floyd Roberts, Jr. & Vickie Lucille Roberts of Chatsworth; sisters and brothers-in-law, Tabetha & John Stone of Fort Bragg, NC and Amy & Eric Morgan of Chatsworth; grandparents, John & Barbara Brumbelow of Dalton; nieces and nephew, Abby Stone, Bentley Roberts, and Emma Woods; uncle and aunt, John & Stacey Brumbelow of Dalton; great uncle and aunt, Freddie & Sandy Allen of Chatsworth; and other extended family members.

A joint funeral service for River Sosebee and Josh Roberts will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 1, 2014 at Holly Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Roger Wagner and the Rev. Bryan Winkler officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery for River and in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery for Josh.

The family and friends of River and Josh will be welcome at the funeral home for visitation on Sunday from 12 noon until 10:00 p.m.
