US Congressman. A native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, he served in the United States Army durin World War II, and in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Elected to represent Michigan's 5th District in the United States House of Representatives, he served from 1974 to 1977, but was defeated in 1958, and in 1976. He also served as a Candidate in the primary for Lieutenant Governor of Michigan in 1960, and as a Candidate in the primary for United States Snator from Michigan in 1978.
